Marc Rey just left Shiseido where he was, for the last 5 years, CEO of Shiseido Americas and Chief Growth Officer for Shiseido group.
As the CEO of Shiseido Americas, he was responsible for overseeing the Americas organization and Shiseido’s brands in the U.S., including Shiseido, NARS Cosmetics, bareMinerals, Dolce & Gabbana, Laura Mercier, Clé de Peau Beauté, Tory Burch Beauty, Drunk Elephant as well as the Company’s subsidiaries in Canada and Brazil.
As chief Growth Officer for Shiseido Company, Marc Rey led the company’s global M & A efforts from New York (Drunk Elephant, Laura Mercier, MATCHCo, a personalization technology company, JWALK Creative Agency and Giaran, Inc. In his role as CGO, Rey also oversaw the global Digital Center of Excellence, and the Company’s Technology Acceleration Hub with offices in Austin, TX, Cambridge, MA and Palo Alto, CA. Rey was a member of the Company’s global executive committee.
Prior to joining Shiseido, Marc Rey served as the Regional Vice President North America at Coty. Previously, he was the President of the International Designer Collection at L’Oréal USA (Yves Saint Laurent, Giorgio Armani, Ralph Lauren..). Marc Rey is born in France and came to the U.S. where he now lives in 2006 to turn around the YSL Beauty business.
