proscribed from our formulas
All our formulas have been developed to respect the most sensitive skin, while being particularly safe for everyone. For this reason, we have banned 7 types of ingredients from our products.
Fragrances are used to make products more pleasant to use. They have no other use than to be marketing arguments and they increase the risk of reactions for sensitive skin. They also take the place of ingredients that could have a real benefit for the skin...
Parabens are commonly used as preservatives in the cosmetics industry. As endocrine disruptors, some of the most common ones are regularly pointed out as health risks and as accelerating the aging of the skin.
Silicones are part of the range of occlusive ingredients, which means that they form a film on the surface of the skin, preventing it from breathing. Resulting from petrochemicals, they also contribute to the pollution of the planet.
Endocrine disruptors are substances that alter the proper functioning of the endocrine system, i.e. the production and action of hormones essential to metabolism. The World Health Organization (WHO) has been warning about these ingredients for several years, pointing to "an increased risk of health problems".
There is a common misconception in cosmetics that all alcohols are harmful to the skin. While ethanol and isopropanol dry out the skin, break down its protective film and increase the risk of skin reactions, fatty alcohols are not harmful to the skin and health. We have therefore removed the first two from our list of ingredients.
EDTA or Ethylene Diamine Tetra Acetic Acid is used in cosmetics to slow down the proliferation of bacteria. However, it is accused of being toxic to health, polluting the planet and irritating the skin.
Of natural origin, essential oils are always a mixture of many molecules, most of which poorly known and studied. They therefore create an important risk for sensitive skins. They should also be avoided during pregnancy.
