Contact dermatitis is an allergic reaction characterized by skin irritation and itching, often hyper localized. This reaction is triggered when the skin comes into contact with an irritating object. Among the most common triggers of contact dermatitis: heavy metals (Nickel, Chromium, Cobalt…), leather, latex, sumac, hair dyes, perfumes contained in skincare products…
After identifying the allergen responsible for the skin rash, thanks to skin tests (patch tests), you will need to prevent your skin from touching this allergen, and that can often be very challenging. For a Nickel (or Chromium or Cobalt) allergy Skintifique has developed a range of products to limit the absorption of these metals by the skin, thus preventing the risk of contact dermatitis.
In all other cases of contact dermatitis, it is recommended to use skin care products that moisturize, protect and soothe the skin. Skintifique products are particularly suitable, as they are very effective, and with very safe and pure compositions.
