Facial eczema
Facial eczema, also called facial dermatitis, is a type of eczema. Localized on the face, it makes the skin turn red, scaly and itchy.
Eczema cannot be cured, but it is possible to ease the symptoms. Indeed, dermatologists can prescribe different eczema treatments: topical corticosteroid creams, antihistaminic drugs, or more recently phototherapy (also called light therapy). As these treatments have some side effects, it is recommended to use a companion care to moisturize, soothe and help repair the skin irritated by facial eczema.
Facial eczema can have 2 distinct origins and it is fundamental to know its form to counter it effectively:
In the case of contact eczema, the skin simply reacts to a specific allergen. The moment the skin will touch this allergen or irritant, it will develop a localized skin rash. If contact eczema is more common on atopic skins, it can sometimes be totally unrelated.
