Psoriasis in details
What is psoriasis?
Psoriasis is a chronic disease of the immune system that is characterized by a local inflammatory reaction and too rapid renewal of epidermis cells.
Who is affected?
In the US, psoriasis affects around 7.5 million people, without distinction between men and women. This disease can occur at any age but appears more specifically in adolescence or around fifty.
Can it be cured?
If there is no cure for the disease, psoriasis can be controlled by limiting the spread or appearance of plaques, and obtain long periods of remission.
Causes of psoriasis
Genetic predisposition
Emotional factors
Environmental factors
In detail
Genetic predisposition:
Although the family nature of the disease is now indisputable, with one-third of psoriasis sufferers having a parent who has the disease, genetics is not enough to cause the disease to appear.
Aggravating factors
Emotional factors:
- Fatigue and stress, emotional shocks or emotional trauma are the main factors that trigger a crisis
Environmental factors:
- Certain drug treatments such as lithium, beta-blockers or certain antihypertensives
- Sunburns and burns, dry cold and pollution
- Alcohol and tobacco both contribute to outbreaks and limit the effectiveness of treatments

How to prevent psoriasis
- Moisturize your skin daily
- Avoid stressful situations and stimulants such as coffee
- Prefer alcohol-free and fragrance-free cosmetics
- Avoid contact with hard water, detergents, or aggressive soaps
- Use loose clothing, preferably cotton to avoid chafing
- Wounds, abrasions, and tattoos are favorable ground for the start of injuries

Spectacular results
Several studies have been conducted on people suffering from psoriasis. They demonstrate the effectiveness of the Psoriasis Pack for 9 out of 10 people. These results can sometimes be seen from the first week, and most often after two to three weeks of use, corresponding to the natural cycle of skin renewal.
For example, there have been 8 weeks between the 2 photos of Amanda, on the left. She explains: “I have been testing Skintifique products for 2 months and I am starting to see a glaring difference! The plaques are less visible and become more and more simple whitish spots. I have no more itching and I can dress as I want. For example, tights no longer irritate me!“
